David Burgess  career began at 16 years old when he apprenticed at an Antique restoration firm in Devon UK.

He then began work at the Northcote Theatre Exeter as a set builder. There he gained a keen knowledge of both wood working machinery and traditional hand tools.

David Burgess spent the next 3-1/2 years at an Exeter joinery (woodworking) company . After that he worked full time at Exeter Cathedral for 12-1/2 years.

After his long time service with the Dean and Chapter at the Cathedral, it was decided that David would go self Employed and joined up with Hugh Harrison very professional team of woodworkers where it brought David to the US to carry out a project at the Riverside Church in Manhattan,NYC.

David had established himself in San Diego,CA with him gaining his C 6 contractors license in 2014 -2018 working on many historical homes in down town San Diego with restoration and conservation in mind. Making custom furniture and cabinets to the clients design and specification .

David is Back living and working in New York City and the surrounding area and has just re-established  his business.
